What exactly is included in Local SEO for Clinics?+
The full local stack, not one piece of it. Every month we run six workstreams in parallel: (1) Google Business Profile management — categories, services, weekly posts, photos, Q&A and spam-fighting; (2) location and service-area pages built on your website — genuinely useful pages like 'Physiotherapy in Baner' written by healthcare writers; (3) citation building and NAP cleanup across 60+ directories per market, with duplicates suppressed; (4) local link building from news outlets, medical associations and community sources; (5) a compliant review generation and response system with 24-hour response times; and (6) technical local signals — Physician, MedicalClinic, LocalBusiness and FAQPage schema — plus 49-point geogrid rank tracking. You get a monthly report with geogrid comparison maps, GBP call and direction data, review growth and page rankings, followed by a strategy call. Everything is done for you; your team's only job is the front-desk review flow we set up, which takes about ten seconds per patient.
How is this different from national or general healthcare SEO?+
They target different search intents and use different levers. National healthcare SEO chases informational and comparative queries — 'IVF success rates by age', 'best hair transplant technique' — through long-form content, topical authority and domain-level link building; rankings are roughly the same whether the searcher is in Mumbai or Madurai. Local SEO targets transactional, proximity-driven queries — 'IVF centre near me', 'dentist in Andheri West' — where Google runs an entirely separate algorithm built on relevance, distance and prominence, and shows a map pack above the organic results. The levers are GBP signals, citations, review velocity, location pages and local links — none of which matter much for national rankings, and vice versa. Most clinics should win their local market first because local searches convert to appointments within days, not months. If you already run our Healthcare SEO programme, this slots underneath it; if you're a single-city clinic, local SEO is usually the higher-ROI starting point.
How is this different from your GBP-only product?+
Our Google Patient Flow product (₹4,500/mo) manages your Google Business Profile — posts, photos, Q&A, review responses and listing hygiene. It's the right choice when your profile just needs consistent, professional upkeep. Local SEO for Clinics includes all of that and adds the four layers GBP management alone cannot touch: location and service-area pages on your website (the landing pages Google's local algorithm associates with your listing), citation building and NAP cleanup across 60+ directories, local link acquisition, and structured data plus geogrid rank tracking. Think of it this way: GBP management keeps your listing healthy; local SEO makes your entire local footprint outrank competitors. If you're already in the 3-Pack across your catchment and just want to hold position, Google Patient Flow may be enough. If you're ranking outside the top 3 anywhere on your geogrid — or a competitor consistently beats you — you need the full stack, because the gap is almost never the profile itself.
How long until we see rankings and calls improve?+
The honest sequence, based on 200+ clinic engagements: weeks 1–4 are foundation — audit, GBP rebuild, citation cleanup, schema and the first location pages. Google typically re-evaluates local signals within 2–6 weeks of major changes, so the first geogrid movement usually appears in weeks 6–10, especially at the edges of your radius where you were previously invisible. Months 3–4 are where map pack entries happen for medium-competition keywords; months 5–7 for hard keywords like 'dental implants' in metro markets. Calls and direction requests usually lag rankings by 2–4 weeks. Two factors accelerate this: an established GBP with review history (faster) versus a new listing (slower), and how quickly your front desk adopts the review flow. We set the expectation plainly: if an agency promises the 3-Pack in 30 days, they're either targeting keywords nobody searches or planning tactics that get listings suspended. We track everything on the geogrid so you see progress — or the lack of it — honestly, every month.
What is geogrid rank tracking and why does it matter?+
Traditional rank tracking asks 'where do I rank for this keyword?' — but in local search there is no single answer, because Google re-ranks the map pack based on where the searcher is standing. You might be #1 inside your clinic and #9 three kilometres away, where most of your potential patients live. Geogrid tracking scans your ranking from 49 points on a grid around your clinic — every square kilometre of your catchment — and plots it as a colour-coded map: green where you're top 3, amber and red where you're losing patients to competitors. This changes decisions. If you're weak to the north, we build pages and citations targeting northern suburbs. If a competitor dominates one pocket, we can see exactly why — usually review count or a hyper-local page — and counter it. Every monthly report includes side-by-side geogrid comparisons, so you watch your visible radius expand month over month. It's the difference between guessing and knowing.
We have multiple locations. How do you handle that?+
Each location is treated as its own local SEO project, because Google ranks each pin independently. Every branch gets its own Google Business Profile strategy, its own location page (not a list of addresses on one page — a full page with that branch's doctors, services, photos, directions, parking and embedded map), its own citations with the branch-specific address and tracking number, its own review flow and its own 49-point geogrid. The most common multi-location mistake we fix: all signals pointing at the flagship, leaving newer branches invisible — or worse, all branches sharing one phone number, which merges their citation profiles and confuses Google's entity understanding. We also implement proper schema relationships (each MedicalClinic as part of the parent MedicalOrganization) so Google understands the brand structure. The Multi-Location plan (₹30,000/mo) covers up to three branches; beyond that, Enterprise pricing scales per location and can include practitioner listings for every doctor at every branch — which effectively multiplies your map pack entries.
Does this work outside India — Dubai, Singapore, London?+
Yes, and this matters more than most clinics realise: Google Maps runs the same ranking algorithm everywhere. Relevance, distance and prominence decide the 3-Pack in Dubai Marina exactly as they do in Koramangala. What changes per country is the ecosystem around it — which directories carry weight (Justdial and Practo in India; Yelp, Healthgrades and Zocdoc in the US; UAE health directories and Dubai-specific platforms in the Gulf; NHS-adjacent and private directories in the UK), which review platforms patients check, language requirements for location pages, and the regulatory layer — DHA advertising rules in Dubai, SMC guidelines in Singapore, GMC/CAP codes in the UK. We maintain per-country citation and platform lists and have run engagements in the UAE, Singapore, the Philippines and the UK. Our Dubai implant centre case reached the 3-Pack in five months as a brand-new listing. Reporting, geogrids and calls work identically across time zones; we schedule reviews in your business hours.
How much does it cost, and how does billing work?+
Single Location is ₹18,000/month, Multi-Location (up to 3 branches) is ₹30,000/month, and Enterprise is custom-quoted for 4+ locations, multi-city groups or hospitals wanting practitioner listings for every doctor. Billing is monthly in advance with no long-term lock-in, though we ask for a 90-day working window because local SEO is a compounding system — citation cleanup and page indexing in month one produce the ranking movement of months three and four, and judging the programme at day 45 measures the foundation, not the result. There are no hidden costs: geogrid tracking software, citation submissions, schema work and reporting are all included. The only optional extras are professional photography (we brief and coordinate local photographers) and translation for multilingual location pages. International clients are quoted in USD, AED, SGD or GBP at prevailing rates — same scope, invoiced from our Indian entity with standard cross-border invoicing, and most international engagements still land 40–60% below local agency pricing for the equivalent stack.
Is your review generation compliant with medical advertising rules?+
Yes — and this is where healthcare-only experience matters, because review tactics that are normal in other industries can get a doctor in trouble. Under NMC ethics norms, physicians can't solicit testimonials in ways that amount to inducement or advertisement, and Google's own policy prohibits review gating (filtering happy patients toward Google and unhappy ones away) and any incentives for reviews. Our system stays inside all three rulebooks: we make leaving a review effortless — a QR standee at reception and a post-visit WhatsApp message with a direct review link — but never offer discounts or gifts, never gate, and never write or seed fake reviews. Review responses are equally sensitive: replying to a review must never confirm the person was a patient or discuss their condition, which would breach confidentiality under DPDP and medical ethics alike. Our response templates thank the reviewer and address service themes without acknowledging any clinical relationship. In Dubai and Singapore we additionally align with DHA and SMC positions on patient testimonials, which are stricter than India's — another reason templated, one-size-fits-all review automation is dangerous for clinics.
Which specialties benefit most from local SEO?+
Any specialty where patients choose a nearby provider — which is most of them — but the economics differ. Dental, physiotherapy, dermatology, ENT, eye care and paediatrics are classic local plays: high search volume, strong 'near me' intent, and patients rarely travel far, so the 3-Pack is effectively the whole market. High-ticket specialties — IVF, hair transplant, cosmetic surgery, bariatrics — see fewer searches but each ranked position is worth far more; patients travel further, so we track wider geogrids (10–15 km) and add service pages targeting the whole city, not just the suburb. Diagnostic labs and pharmacies are pure proximity businesses where citation accuracy and hours data matter disproportionately. Multi-doctor clinics get a structural advantage most agencies ignore: Google allows individual practitioner listings alongside the clinic listing, so a five-doctor practice can legitimately hold multiple map pack positions for the same search. We build specialty-specific page architectures — condition pages for orthopaedics, treatment pages for aesthetics, branch pages for chains — rather than forcing one template on every clinic.
